Wonder Woman TV Series in the works?!

Warner Bros. Television is planning on launching a new live-action Wonder Woman  television series. Not since the days of when Lynda Carter dawned the familiar Amazon princess' costume has the popular DC Comics female super heroine been portrayed in any kind of live-action form. There have long been rumors of Warner Bros. trying to get a live-action movie going, but nothing ever materialized.

According to THR, Warner Bros. Television is developing a modern-day reboot of the classic DC comic book heroine and is lassoing an unlikely talent to potentially write and produce the superhero project: David E. Kelley, the showrunner behind legal dramas such as “Ally McBeal,” "Boston Legal" and "The Practice."

Okay this pisses me off! I was just blogging about this late last night whne Yahoo broke the story!

Warner doesn't think female leads can be in movies and have them make money...

Their actual reason for this or the final nail in the coffin was the film 'Salt' cause Warner Brothers sent that memo down about a week or two after that film opened and the logistics didn't work out. However that wasn't made available to the public about  a week or two after comic con cause most of us had submitted our work at the time. You're talking 150-200 hungry screen writers all lined up at a gate waving their screenplays. All written in the silver screen format. All written with a lead woman in mind and not the other way around. Had I known this I would have made Steve Trevor a bit more prominent in my copy.

-ugh- I don't even know how to wirte a television screenplay. I'm staring that the format example and I'm scratching my head!

Concentrate on NEW SHOWS instead of remaking EVERYTHING....coming next fall...Gilligan's Island on Lost Surviving Suburbia or some stupid crap. STOP REMAKING MOVIES AND T.V.!
